Service Description

Various authors, e.g. Epstein; Austin and Akin describe supervision as a scientifically based process whereby the supervisor guides the supervisee in the development of his / her professional capacity to enable him / her to function independently and autonomously. In implementing this responsibility, the supervisor performs supervisory functions in interaction with the supervisee in the context of a positive professional relationship. The rationale for the Supervision Framework for the Social Work Profession in SA: 2012, was to address the: decline in the productivity and quality of social work services rendered lack of supervision lack of adequate training of supervisors
